Match Day 5 of the 2017 International Saimoe League Amethyst Period is in the books. In the Female Division, Iroha Isshiki dismantled Nico Yazawa 1253-852, Yukino Yukinoshita routed Hitagi Senjougahara 1409-641, Taiga Aisaka roared past Maki Nishikino 1233-886, Umaru Doma throttled Marika Tachibana 1123-957. Shiro eased past Momo Velia Deviluke 1384-791, Rikka Takanashi won the Upset of the Round, a 1114-1028 barnburner over Aoba Suzukaze, Ayase Aragaki belted Homura Akemi 1299-761 and Megumi Katou  leveled Chitoge Kirisaki 1361-724.

Jibril flew past Touka Yatogami 1225-963, Inori Yuzuriha steamrolled past Nagisa Furukawa 1278-785, Nao Tomori torched Isuzu Sento 1306-784, Yoshino stormed past Haruhi Suzumiya 1413-798, Chino Kafuu prevailed over Kuroyukihime 1135-1044, Shinobu Oshino chomped up Erina Nakiri 1054-851 and Rem ran past Yuuki Konno 1509-760.

In the Male Division, Sadao Mao defeated Yuuji Sakai 1018-656, Nagisa Shiota routed Shuu Ouma 1183-677, Koyomi Araragi won the closest race of the round, a 924-839 snoozer over Bell Cranel, Lancer impaled Yuuji Sakai 977-691, Souma Yukihira dominated Mikoto Mikoshiba 1115-579, Yuuta Togashi defeated Rentarou Satomi 1015-828, Genos punched Rin Okumura 1013-694 and Touma Kamijou broke Conan Edogawa 1077-762.

Edward Elric eased past Kyon 967-737, Tomoya Okazaki whipped past Ainz Ooal Gowl 902-744, Felix Argyle hammered Killua Zoldyck 1176-744, Shirou Emiya thumped Seiya Kanie 1016-743, Levi defeated Sorata Kanda 1027-926, Light Yagami overran Tetsuya Kuroko 854-773 and Hachiman Hikigaya annihilated Makoto Naegi 1347-541.

In exhibition play, it was a mixed bag for Love Live as Kotori Minami  cruised past Nagi Sanzen'in 1192-739 but Sharo Kirima stonewalled Honoka Kousaka 1062-872.
